My daughter and her bf went as a Playboy bunny and Hugh Hefner one year. She just used a leotard and tights and added a bunny tail. She made felt ears and attached them to a headband.
He got an old smoking jacket (like a robe only hip length – you can cut off a robe), put an ascot with it and pj type pants. Seems like he carried a cigarette holder, too.
Any way, they won best costume at two clubs! Pretty simple and easy.

My one friend last year went as Jack and Jill, they wore jeans and then just bought white shirts from walmart and then they like ripped them and covered them in dirt, wrote their names on them and carried around a metal bucket, it was pretty cute
I also had a couple who dressed up as a bumble bee and a bear
you could also do ketchup and mustard, romeo and juliet, fred and wilma, the cop and the prisoner, cowboy and cowgirl would be easy too
