What Are Cute Couple Halloween Costumes?
I am practically making my boyfriend dress up for his sister’s halloween party. I wanted something easy so we don’t spend a lot of money (we are saving for our honeymoon!) But also something simple so he isn’t going out of his way to dress up. Any ideas? Something innocent would be nice, his parents will be there!

There is a section (about half way down the article) that seems to answer your question exactly — Cute for her. Wearable for him. (Designed for the guy who is uncomfortable wearing costumes so the costumes suggested are easy to wear and not too complicated or fussy.) Some of their ideas include:

Disney Prince (all you need is a cape and crown) and Princess

His and Her Soccer Player (or any matching athletes)
The couple who cooks together stays together (chefs)
Another idea is to take white (or black) t-shirts and tag them — easy, cheap, and unique. Do the same with a plain baseball cap and wear it backwards.

You can easily be Ken and Barbie and get away with simply buying a Barbie wig. ( I would probably dress Ken and Barbie in formal attire but you can almost do anything with this i.e. tennis, golf, or even honeymoon couple, so long as your outfits coordinate.)

What are some cheap simple Halloween costume ideas for a college guy?
I am 6 feet tall with an athletic build, tan skin, and brown kinda long hair. I don’t have too much to work with i was thinking a samurai because i can make my hair look like it but i don’t have the rest of the costume. I will take any ideas.
a baby or captain underpants – you only need underwear plus cape
tony montana (scarface) – white suit and a gun
survivor castaway – trunks and swimming float around your hips
if you wanna make a castaway (y’know the movie with tom hanks, a twist on robinson crusoe) reference maybe carry a wilson volleyball with you that’s got a palm printed on it (just get sharpies or something)

a biker – leather outfit, bandana plus shades
zoolander – purple suit and shades (maybe a little hair gel haha)
ron burgundy (anchorman) – if you don’t have a burgundy suit red is fine, i think.. plus fake mustache
either mario brothers – got overalls?
some people collect weird stuff, if you have a fireman hat, or wig and horned hat, or a chef hat.. could be one of those
pimp – suits and a cane, and arrive at the party with a bunch of girls

Halloween (2007)
The early 2000s have seen a string of big-budget remakes of classic horror films. In addition to THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and THE HILLS HAVE EYES, John Carpenter’s benchmark slasher flick HALLOWEEN has been given a new-millennial overhaul. At the helm of the project sits rocker Rob Zombie, whose previous films, HOUSE OF 1,000 CORPSES and THE DEVIL’S REJECTS, brought a fan’s touch and an auteur’s vision to the director’s chair. While Zombie’s HALLOWEEN is faithful to Carpenter’s vision, there are some obvious changes, the most pronounced of these being the substantial focus on Michael Myers’s childhood. The film posits Michael (played by a creepily vacant Daeg Faerch) as a troubled child made all the worse by a horrible home life–wonderfully illustrated via William Forsythe’s performance as Deborah Myers’s boyfriend–and constant abuse at school. Zombie paints Michael’s pain with palpable grit and sleaze, but he isn’t out to put our culture on the couch–he simply wants to show Michael killing his family. With the exception of Michael’s therapy sessions while incarcerated, the film, post-massacre, stays loyal to the original.
Zombie’s film is clearly the work of a filmmaker who knows and loves the genre. The director’s signature is stamped all over HALLOWEEN (most notably in the use of grainy home movie footage and a smokin’ classic rock soundtrack), although remnants of Carpenter’s brilliant original still remain. When it comes to remakes, it’s hard to ask for much more.
